Cambridge transfer & refund policy

YOU may be eligible to request a transfer or a refund if the following applies:

  • within 14 days from date of registration, as long as the test is more than 5 weeks away, – you do not need to give any reasons for the cancellation and you will receive a refund of the test fee minus a €100 administration fee or you can request a transfer to a new test date free of charge.
  • No refund/transfer can be offered if it has been more than 14 days since you paid for your test, or if you request to cancel with 30 days or less before your test.
  • Fees for UK University 2024 Admission tests can not unfortunately be refunded after our standard closing date of the end of September has passed. This is in particular due to the limited availability of places for applicants each year. Any refund requests are subject to the standard administration fee of €100.
  • in case of illness – we will need to be informed by email before the test has commenced otherwise you will be marked as absent and will forfeit your right to a transfer to a new exam date.
  • An original medical certificate confirming illness on the date of the test must be delivered to the centre (by email initally) within one working days of the Writing test date. On such occasion you will be transferred to a new test date within 4 weeks of the original test date.
Important – Only original medical certificates in English are accepted. Please note that we do not accept sick notes issued by family members. The medical examination can not have taken place after the date of your Cambridge test. If we have not received required documents by the close of business the working day after the test, you will be marked as absent and forfeit all claims. Claims in relation to pre-existing conditions at the time of booking will not be considered.
  • If you are unable to attend your test because of exceptional circumstances, you can apply for a test date transfer after the test. Only serious illness or injury, hospital admission, the death of a close family member, or being the victim of a crime or traffic accident, will be considered. You will need to ask an appropriate medical or police professional to sign a test date transfer form. You will also need a medical certificate or police report. These must be sent to us no later than three working days after the test date.
  • In the case of the test Centre having to cancel a test session test-takers will be offered the choice of a test date transfer or a refund of the test fee.
  • If a test-taker can’t sit their test due to covid-19, they will be given a free transfer to a later date only on submission of appropriate official evidence (GP report). test-takers should contact the centre directly by email in such circumstances. Refunds will not be applicable in such cases. If the test-taker does not show for the rescheduled date, all claims will be forfeited.

To cancel your test date, please request (by email) and complete our Request for Refund or Test Date Transfer Form and send it via email to our office.

Please note that refunds can take four to six weeks to process.

YOU CAN REQUEST A TEST DAY TRANSFER

  • up to five weeks before the test date, subject to administration charge of €100. Please note that the new test date must be within three months of the original date (normally only up to 4 weeks from the original date if requested less than 5 weeks before the test date).
  • in cases of verified illness (see above), transfer is possible within five weeks of the test. The transfer fee is €100.

If you receive a transfer to a new test date and are ill on the second test date, then you are not entitled to a refund of the test fee nor to any further transfer to a new test date.
